Given the pressure on many people’s time, giving some of it to a good cause should be made as easy as possible. When it is possible we are happy to allow for time off, sabbaticals and exchanges that support the charitable or community activities our people are involved in.

Liverpool Office staff exercise their green fingers
A team of twenty from the Northwest - Liverpool office were sent on gardening leave on a sunny Sunday in March when they turned up for a day of hard labour and toil at Woodlands Trust Hospice in Aintree. The Trust has recently completed building an extension to house 20 patients for palliative care and the CBRE team was called upon to plant the restful gardens and general landscaping.
The work included digging the beds, planting over 450 shrubs and flowers and spreading a huge pile of mulch across the site.
Marketing Department shares its ‘green fingers’ with Wellesley Road Nursing Home
Eighteen members of the Marketing department recently volunteered to get down and dirty with a spot of gardening at the Wellesley Road Nursing Home in London, NW5. It was the first time the home had ever had any volunteers working on their garden and they were delighted that CBRE came down to help.
There were various tasks to do – from pulling down large swathes of ivy that had been strangling a tree to repotting baskets of plants and weeding. It was a glorious summer day and everyone really enjoyed working and helping out others in need, and also getting to know the residents who were eager to chat whilst basking in the sunshine.
